Proposing changes

Overview

If an offer doesn't work for you, you don't have to accept it or decline it outright. You can change what doesn't work and send it back. The league can accept your version or reply with theirs, and you go back and forth until you both accept the same version.

You can propose changes to a new offer or to a booking you've already agreed.

Propose changes

1. Open the booking from Bookings.
2. Select Propose changes. It's under Your response when the league is waiting for you.
3. Change what you need to (see below).
4. Select Send your changes.

Sending your changes counts as your acceptance of them. The league is emailed, and the booking shows that you're waiting for them.

What you can change

The form is split into four parts:

• The job — Duties, and Hired as if you offer more than one role and the booking isn't agreed yet.
• Pay — Expenses on top of the rates, Paid by and How you're paid.
• Terms — If either of you cancels, If either of you doesn't show, and Notes.
• Games — untick a game to leave it out, or open Add another game from the season to add one. For each game you can change Arrive by, Game ends, What you'll deliver, Deliver by and Rate for this game.

Times are in the season's time zone, which the form names.

What you can't change

• The currency. Amounts are always in the currency on your services page.
• Your role on a booking you've already agreed. To work it in a different role, cancel the booking and ask the league for a new offer.
• Games that are final or that the league has confirmed as done. They stay exactly as agreed.

When your changes won't send

The form checks your times before it sends:

• You must arrive by the game's start, and the game must end after it starts.
• The Deliver by time can't be before the game ends.
• Two games in the same booking can't overlap.
• At least one game must stay ticked.

Fix the time it names and select Send your changes again.

Changing a booking you've already agreed

Your agreed booking stays in force until the league accepts your changes. The booking shows a Changes proposed tag, and while it's waiting:

• You can't submit work for its games.
• The league can't record a payment.
• Each game you still have to work shows as needing reconfirmation until you both accept the new version.

If the league declines your changes, or you withdraw them, the booking goes back to the version you'd both agreed. See Declining or cancelling.

When the league proposes changes

The booking shows Review the changes in Bookings. Open it and select Accept the changes, or propose changes of your own. For how the league responds to yours, see Responding to an official's changes.
