Declining or cancelling

Turn down an offer, cancel a booking, or back out of changes, and what stays on record.

Overview

You can say no at any point: to a new offer, to changes the league proposes, or to a booking you've already agreed. Each time you give the league a reason. They see it, and it stays in the booking's history.

Check the booking's If it's cancelled and If someone doesn't show terms before you cancel an agreed booking. They're what you and the league agreed would happen.

Which option you'll see

The option depends on where the booking is:

An offer you haven't accepted Decline offer The offer closes as Declined.
The league proposed changes to an agreed booking Decline the changes The booking goes back to the version you'd both agreed.
You proposed changes and are waiting for the league Withdraw your changes The booking goes back to the version you'd both agreed.
An agreed booking Cancel booking The booking closes as Cancelled, and games you haven't worked are released.
The league proposed a different total after the booking ended Decline the settlement The agreed total stands.
You proposed a different total Withdraw your settlement The agreed total stands.

Decline or cancel

  1. Open the booking from Bookings.
  2. Find the option. When it's your turn to respond, it's at the bottom of Your response. Open it to show the form. Otherwise it has its own box at the bottom of the page.
  3. Under Tell the league why, write your reason. The label names the league.
  4. Select the button and confirm in the dialog.

The league is emailed straight away.

What cancelling a booking does

  • Every game you haven't completed is released, and you're taken off the league's schedule for upcoming ones.
  • Games the league has already confirmed as done stay on record, and so does any payment for them.
  • The terms, every version and the reason stay in the booking's history. Find it under Closed in Bookings.
