How bookings work

From a league's offer to getting paid, and what each step on your Bookings page means.

Overview

Every game a league hires you for through League OS is agreed in writing. A league sends an offer listing the games, when to arrive, your duties and your fee. You and the league agree on one version of those terms, you work the games, and the league pays you directly.

Bookings open once StatsCentral has verified at least one of your roles. Until then, Bookings explains what's left to do.

The four steps

  1. A league sends an offer. It lists each game, when to arrive and finish, what you deliver, the rate for each game, any expenses, and the payment and cancellation terms. You get an email, and the offer appears in Bookings.
  2. You agree on the terms. Accept the offer, or propose changes and send it back. The league can accept your version or reply with theirs. Nothing is booked until you have both accepted the same version.
  3. You work the games. Once you've both accepted, the games are booked and you're assigned to them in League OS. After each game, submit your work. The league confirms it or reports a problem.
  4. You get paid. The league pays you outside StatsCentral, for example by GCash or bank transfer, and records the payment here. You confirm when it arrives.

Versions and acceptance

Each time either side sends terms, it becomes a new numbered version. Sending a version counts as the sender's acceptance of it, so the other side only has to accept it too.

  • An offer from a league already carries the league's acceptance. When you accept it, the booking is confirmed.
  • When you propose changes, your version carries your acceptance, and it's the league's turn.
  • Changes to a booking you've already agreed don't replace it straight away. The agreed version stays in force until you both accept the new one.

Every version is kept. Open Versions on the booking to see each one, its total, and who accepted it and when.

Your Bookings page

Bookings has a tab for each stage. The number beside a tab is how many bookings are in it.

Tab What's in it
Offers Offers you haven't agreed yet
Booked Bookings you've both agreed, with games still to work
Done Bookings where every game is complete
Closed Cancelled, declined and withdrawn bookings

The Next step column says what happens next. It's in bold when it's your turn:

  • Review the offer or Review the changes — the league is waiting for you.
  • Submit your work — a game has ended and you haven't submitted it yet.
  • Confirm payment — the league has recorded a payment for you to check.
  • Waiting for the league, Work the games, Waiting for payment and Paid need nothing from you right now.

What you're told

Each time the league acts on a booking (sends an offer or changes, accepts, cancels, confirms your work, records a payment, or changes a game's time or venue), you get an email and a notification in the portal's bell, both linking to the booking. The league hears the same way when you act. See Notifications and emails.

Open Bookings now and start with anything marked in bold.
