Responding to an official's changes

Accept the version an official sent back, propose different terms, or revise an agreement you already sent.

Overview

An agreement can go back and forth. Every time you or the official send changes, a new version is saved, and the agreement only takes effect when both of you accept the same version. Sending a version counts as your acceptance of it, so the other side only has to accept.

Open the agreement from Hiring agreements. Its status shows under the title: Offer before anything is agreed, Booked once it is. Changes proposed or New total proposed means a revision is waiting.

When the official sent something back

The agreement opens on Your response, and What you'd agree to shows the version they sent.

  • Accept agreement (or Accept the changes on a booking) — agrees to their version. On a new offer, this books the games.
  • Propose different terms — opens the form with their version filled in. Change what doesn't work and select Send revised agreement.
  • To say no, open the link under the buttons. On a new offer that's Withdraw offer; on a booking it's Decline the changes, which keeps the booking as it was.

Revising an agreement you sent

While you're waiting for the official, the page says Waiting for name to accept. Select Revise offer (or Revise the agreement on a booking) to send a new version. The official then has to accept the new version instead.

Revising a confirmed booking

You can change a confirmed booking the same way, with a few rules:

  • The agreed booking stays in force until you both accept the new version. If the revision is declined or withdrawn, nothing changes.
  • The role can't change. To hire the same person for a different role, cancel the booking and send a new offer.
  • Booked games are flagged for reconfirmation until the new version is accepted.
  • Finished games can't change. Games that are final, or whose work you've confirmed, keep the terms they were booked on.
  • If the new version changes the total, any payment you recorded is cleared so you can record the new amount.

When a game changes after booking

If you move a game or change its venue after the official accepted, the booking shows This game's time or venue changed after you agreed. Revise the agreement with the new time so the official can confirm it.
