Sending an offer
Choose the games, duties, pay and terms, check the total, and send an official your offer.
Overview
An offer is a written agreement you propose to an official: the games they'll work, what they do there, what you'll pay and what happens if either of you cancels. The official can accept it, decline it or send back changes. Nothing is booked until they accept, and sending the offer counts as your acceptance of the version you send.
Start from Request booking on an official in the marketplace.
The job
- Hiring as — shown when the official is verified for more than one role. Pick the role you're hiring them for. The role decides how they're assigned to your games.
- Duties — what they do at each game, for example Keep the official box score and play-by-play.
Games
Every upcoming game in the season is listed. Past games aren't offered, and a game needs a date and a venue before you can book it. If you came from a game, it's already ticked and the season's other games sit under Add another game from the season.
Tick a game to include it. Its fields fill in for you, and you can change any of them:
| Field | Starts as |
|---|---|
| Arrive by | 30 minutes before the game starts |
| Finish at | 2 hours after the start: when the official is free to leave |
| What name delivers | Empty: say what you need after the game, such as Signed score sheet and box score |
| Deliver by | A day after Finish at |
| Rate for this game | The official's starting rate |
Times are in the season's time zone, shown above the list.
The arrival time can't be after the game starts, the finish time must be after the start, and the deliverable deadline can't come before the finish. Two ticked games can't overlap: if games are close together, bring Finish at forward.
Pay
Amounts are in the official's own currency, set by their profile. You can't change it.
- Expenses on top of the rates — travel or meals. Enter 0 if there are none.
- Pay by — starts a week after the last ticked game.
- How you'll pay — for example GCash or a bank transfer. Payment happens outside StatsCentral.
Terms
- If either of you cancels — for example, either side can cancel up to 48 hours before a game at no cost.
- If either of you doesn't show — for example, a no-show forfeits that game's fee.
- Notes — anything else, optional.
Check the total and send
Total offer adds up every ticked game's rate plus expenses, and updates as you change the form. When it's right, select Send offer.
The official is notified and the offer opens on its own page in Hiring agreements. Until they accept, you can revise it or withdraw it.
Next step
