Finding officials in the marketplace

Overview

The officials marketplace lists the statisticians, referees, umpires and scorekeepers you can hire for a season. Each official sets their own rate and availability on their services page in the Officials Portal, and StatsCentral verifies every role they can be hired for. When you find someone, you send them an offer with the games, duties and fee, and nothing is booked until they accept.

Open the marketplace

The marketplace belongs to a season, so you open it from inside one:

Season settings — open the season, go to Settings, choose the Officials tab and select Browse marketplace.
A game — on the season's Schedule, select Officials on a game, then Browse marketplace. The marketplace then opens for that game, so a booking request starts with it already ticked.

Hiring agreements, at the top of the marketplace, lists every offer and booking you've made for the season.

Search and filter

Use Find officials to narrow the list, then select Apply filters.

Filter	What it does
Name	Matches the official's public name.
Role	Shows only officials verified for that role.
Sport	Shows only officials who cover that sport.
Service area	Matches the area an official says they cover, such as Cebu City.
Currency and Max rate per game	Shows officials whose starting rate, in that currency, is at or under your maximum. Officials who charge in another currency stay in the list until you enter a maximum.

Select Clear filters to start again.

Read the list

Each row shows the official's name and service area, their verified Roles, the Sports they cover and their starting rate under From, per game. Only officials who have published their services with at least one verified game-official role are listed.

Select an official's name to open their services page: what they offer, their experience, sports, and the hours they're usually available.
Select Request booking to start an offer.

Looking for someone you already work with who isn't listed? They haven't published a verified game-official role yet. Ask them to publish their services, or add them to the season yourself: see Season officials roster.

Booking for one game

When you open the marketplace from a game, a box above the search names that game, with its date and venue. Every Request booking link starts an offer with that game ticked. Select Browse for the whole season to drop the game and browse for any of the season's games.
