Setting your rate

Your starting rate per game, the currency leagues pay you in, and how it shows up.

Overview

Your rate tells leagues roughly what you cost before they ask. It's the least you charge for one game. The actual fee is agreed on each booking, so a league can offer more for a long day, and you can propose changes when an offer is too low.

Set it

  1. Go to Services.
  2. Under Your rate, choose a Currency.
  3. Enter your Starting rate per game, for example 1500.
  4. Click Save services.

A published profile needs both a currency and a rate above zero. The Ready to publish panel shows Rate as To do until you've set them.

Your currency is the offer's currency

Leagues make every offer in the currency on your profile. A league can't pick another one, and the offer form tells them the amounts are in your currency. Once an agreement exists, it keeps the currency it was made in, even if you change your profile later.

Pick the currency you want to be paid in, and change it only before you take new work.

Where leagues see it

  • Your public page: shows Starting rate and the amount per game.
  • The League OS marketplace: lists it as From, per game. Leagues can filter by Max rate per game and Currency. If you set a rate in a different currency from the one a league filters by, you drop out of that search. See Why leagues can't find me.
  • The offer form: each game starts at your starting rate, and the league sees a reminder of it next to each rate field. They can change it before they send.

If your rate goes up, update it here before the season's offers start arriving. Bookings you've already agreed keep their agreed fee.
