Why leagues can't find me

Work through what keeps you out of the League OS marketplace, from verification to search filters.

Overview

League admins find officials in the League OS marketplace. It lists verified game officials only: statisticians, referees, umpires and scorekeepers whose role StatsCentral has approved. Work down this list in order. Each step depends on the one before.

1. A game-official role is verified

Check Roles. You need at least one of statistician, referee, umpire or scorekeeper approved. Media, content and team-staff roles get a public page, but League OS can't hire them yet.

If your application is still waiting or StatsCentral asked for changes, see After you apply.

2. Your email is confirmed

StatsCentral lists you in League OS only once you've confirmed your email address. If Services shows Confirm your email to go public, click Send a new link and open the email.

3. Your profile is published

On Services, the banner should read Your profile is published. If it reads Your profile is a draft, complete every item in Ready to publish, tick Publish my profile and click Save services. See Publishing your profile.

4. The league's search filters leave you out

A league can narrow the marketplace by name, role, sport, service area and maximum rate. Each filter it uses can hide you:

Filter You're hidden when
Name It doesn't match your Public display name
Role That role isn't one of your verified roles
Sport That sport isn't on your page. Sports come from your approved applications
Service area Your Service area doesn't contain the words they typed
Max rate per game Your starting rate is higher, or it's in a different Currency from the one they chose

You can't see a league's filters, but you can make the common searches find you: write your service area with the place names leagues use, and apply for every sport you work.

Still not listed?

If all four checks pass and a league tells you they can't see you, ask them to click Clear filters in the marketplace. If you still don't appear, contact StatsCentral support with your public display name and the league's name.
