Signing up as an official

Create your account from the officials link, confirm your email, and pick your first role.

Overview

You join the Officials Portal from the officials sign-up link, /officials/join. It creates a free StatsCentral account and takes you straight into the portal to pick the roles you work in. If you already have a StatsCentral account, you use that one instead.

Creating your account

  1. Open the officials sign-up link a league or StatsCentral shared with you.
  2. On Create your account, enter your Email, a Username and a Password.
  3. Click Create account.

You're signed in straight away, and StatsCentral emails you a link to confirm your address. Follow it when you can: League OS can't book or assign you to games until your email is confirmed. Until you do, Confirm your email stays at the top of your dashboard's Needs your attention list, with a link to send the email again.

If the page says The Officials Portal isn't open yet, the portal is still opening in stages. Click Sign in if you've been invited, or ask the person who shared the link.

Already have a StatsCentral account?

Sign in first, then open the officials link. It takes you to the Officials Portal welcome screen with your existing account. You can also reach the portal from the app switcher (the grid icon at the top right) by choosing Officials Portal.

Your first visit

  1. The welcome screen, Welcome to Officials Portal, sums up what the portal does. Click Get started.
  2. On Which role do you want to apply for?, choose one role and click Continue. See Choosing your roles for how the roles differ.
  3. Answer that role's questions and click Send application.

You land on your dashboard with the role marked Under review. StatsCentral emails you when it's been reviewed. Your next step is to wait for that email, or to apply for another role with Apply for another role on your dashboard.

Edge cases

  • Your username shows instead of your name — your profile starts with your account's display name, or your username if you haven't set one. Once a role is verified, change it under Services in Public display name.
  • You signed up for something else first — the same account works across StatsCentral. Open the officials link while signed in instead of creating a second account.
