Times and time zones
Whose clock each time in the Officials Portal is on, and what to do when one looks wrong.
Overview
The Officials Portal uses three clocks. A time can look wrong when you read it on the wrong one, usually when you work for a league in another time zone or you're travelling.
| What | Whose clock |
|---|---|
| Game times on an offer or booking: start, arrive by, finish, deliver by | The season's time zone |
| When something happened: activity, when a payment was made, when a version was accepted | Your browser's time zone |
| Your weekly hours | The Time zone you chose on Availability |
Game times
A game happens at a venue, so its times stay on the season's clock wherever you are. On a booking, the Games section says which zone, for example Game times are in Asia/Manila, the season's time zone. When you propose changes, the form takes times in that same zone.
If you're in another zone, convert the game time yourself before you plan travel. The booking won't do it for you.
When something happened
Activity, payment dates and acceptance dates show on your own clock, taken from your browser. On your very first visit, before your browser has told us its zone, these times appear in UTC and are labelled UTC. Refresh the page and they switch to your time.
Weekly hours
Your weekly hours are wall-clock times in the zone you picked on Availability, and leagues see them labelled with it, for example Manila time (GMT+08:00). See Setting your weekly hours.
When a time looks wrong
- A game time is hours off — check the zone named under Games. The season may be set to a different zone from yours. If the season's zone itself looks wrong, tell the league: only they can change it.
- Activity shows UTC — refresh. If it still shows UTC, your browser may be blocking cookies for StatsCentral.
- Leagues think you're free at the wrong hours — check the Time zone on Availability and save it again.
