Taking court bookings online
Set each court's hours and rental price so players can book and pay from your public booking page.
Overview
Your venue has a public booking page where players pick a court, a date and any open times, then pay online. A court appears there once it has hours and a rental rate. Paid bookings land in Bookings in Venue OS, and you are emailed each one.
Rental prices are yours to set. They are separate from SportsCast streaming credits, which StatsCentral prices with you.
Set a court's hours
- Open Schedules in Venue OS and pick the court.
- Choose the slot length players book in: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 90 minutes or 2 hours.
- Tick Open for each day the court can be booked and set its opening and closing times. For a court open until midnight, set the closing time to 00:00. Only whole slots inside those hours are offered.
- Tick Use these hours for every court if all your courts keep the same hours.
- Select Save hours.
Close dates for holidays or maintenance
Under Blackout dates, add the first and last day you are closed, and choose one court or All courts. Players can't book those dates. Bookings already made on them are kept, so contact those players yourself.
Set rental prices
- Open Pricing and pick the court.
- Add a base rate: tick every day, leave both times empty, enter the price per hour and the date it starts.
- Add a peak rate if evenings or weekends cost more: tick its days and set a start and end time. A peak rate replaces the base rate for the hours it covers, and a slot that runs into a peak window is charged each part at its own rate.
- Check What players see today to confirm the prices.
To change a price or move a peak window from a certain date, add a new rate with the same name and that start date rather than editing the old one. From that date the new rate replaces the old one, and the pricing table shows the old one as Replaced. A rate with a different name doesn't replace anything, so remove an old rate you no longer want. Bookings already made always keep the price they were charged.
How a booking works
- A player ticks any open times on one court and day; they don't need to be back to back.
- Their slots are reserved for 15 minutes while they pay. Reserved slots show as Reserved to other players.
- A player who goes back to change their times keeps their reserved slots until they reserve new ones, which releases the old ones.
- When the payment is confirmed the booking shows as Confirmed, and you and the player are emailed.
- If they don't pay in time, the reservation expires and the slots go back on sale.
Cancel a booking
In Bookings, select Cancel on the booking and confirm. The time goes back on sale and the player is emailed. Refunds are handled separately — contact the player to arrange one.
When a booking needs a refund
Rarely, a payment arrives after the reservation ran out and another player has already booked that time, after you cancelled, or after the player changed to new times. The booking appears under Needs refund and you are emailed with the player's contact details so you can refund them or move them to another time.
Once you have, select Mark refunded on the booking. It leaves Needs refund and shows as Refunded.
